The prices, variant, engine details and the features of the upcoming Toyota Glanza have been leaked. The hatchback will be launched in India on 6th June.
Toyota is set to launch the rebadged Maruti Baleno, that goes with the name Glanza. Rebadging usually refers to changing the logos and minor bits of the other product, and so is the scenario here.
Autocar India has leaked the estimated price range of the Toyota Glanza. Not only that, the engine details, variants and the features of it have also been leaked alongside.
Glanza will be offered in 2 variants – G (Base) and V (Top-Spec) variant. Both the variants will come with a 5-speed manual as well as a CVT gearbox on offer, making four trims to choose from.

It will borrow the 1.2 Litre K12B petrol engine from Baleno. The engine produces 83 BHP and 113 Nm of peak torque. The new 1.2 Litre DualJet Smart-Hybrid engine is also going to come on the Glanza.
But, the new engine will only come on the base G variant. Also, the DualJet motor will only be available with the 5-speed MT gearbox. CVT will only come on the K12B engine.
Toyota claims that Glanza V MT will deliver 21.01 kmpl, G Smart-Hybrid will deliver 23.87 kmpl and the CVT will offer 19.56 kmpl.

Further, the features that will come on Toyota Glanza are auto climate control, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Voice Command, UV-cut glass, LED DRLs, Push-Button Start, Auto-Headlamps and Follow-me headlamps.
Safety features onboard will include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and reverse camera as standard fitments.
Now talking about its prices, Toyota Glanza will reportedly be costlier than Maruti Baleno by Rs 12,000-14,000. The prices are expected to be between Rs 8 Lakhs for the base variant up to Rs 9 Lakhs for the top-spec variant.

What it offers more than the Baleno is the standard warranty of three-year/1,00,000km. Baleno, on the other hand, offers two-year/40,000 km warranty.
