The upcoming SUV is expected to see a price tag of Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will only come with an Automatic transmission and a single colour option.
Ahead of its launch on Sept 12, the brochure of the upcoming Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportiva has been leaked. The SUV was first showcased in July this year and it will get some cosmetic changes which will differentiate it from the regular Fortuners.
The brochure of the Toyota Fortuner TRD leaked some details about what will change with the kit. As said, the changes will stick to cosmetic and no mechanical changes will be made.
The SUV receives a dual-tone black colour roof along with front bumper spoiler, it also gets rugged 18-inch TRD alloy wheels which gives a strong persona to the SUV. At the front, it receives TRD radiator grille along with lower grille cover.

The cabin inside will see dual tone colour scheme dashboard and the upholstery receives sporty red stitch accents. The iconic TRD badging at the rear profile and the bumper there receives a spoiler just like at the front fascia. It will be launched in a Pearl White colour with black roof.
The Fortuner has made its mark ever since it entered the Indian market. The rugged SUV caters to the need of people differently and the sales figure are proof that it beats its competitors by a high margin.
Feature wise, the SUV gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 11-speaker audio system with JBL. It further gets red engine start/stop button with TRD badging, carbon-kevlar trim on the gear knob and steering wheel, rear-view camera and power tailgate are some of the features the SUV will receive.

The Fortuner TRD will be available in the same 2.8-litre turbocharged, 4-cylinder diesel engine. It is tuned to BS4 emission but will soon get an upgrade to BS6 norms. This engine pulls out 174 bhp with a peak torque of 450 Nm. Transmission option will include a 6-speed automatic gearbox only.
The TRD Fortuner will also miss out on the 4×4 option as well as the availability of a 6-speed manual gearbox. It will be priced above the regular Fortuner and one can expect a price range of Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for this beats.
