The plane was to proceed toward Pragathi Bhavan to protest against the cancellation of permission for her padayatra. The Bharat Rashtra Smithi (BRS) workers had also attacked her convoy on Monday. As the police came to detain her, members of YSRTP and Sharmila’s supporters surrounded the car. To avoid arrest, she also locked herself inside the vehicle.

Car Towing With Driver Illegal
While it is common to see cars/ bikes being towed with the drivers/ passengers still inside, this is not legal. Since tow trucks are handled by local contractors, there have been many cases of borderline illegal behavior. Multiple incidents of a biker being towed with his bike to the police station have emerged. In an infamous incident, the Mumbai traffic police once towed a vehicle with a woman breastfeeding the baby in a no-parking zone. However, the Hyderabad case is more of a political incident than a parking zone incident.
