The Toyota Fortuner facelift gets significant cosmetic updates to make it look much sportier than now and you can expect the updated SUV to be launched in India by the end of this year.
The Toyota Fortuner has been on our roads for quite some time now and hasn’t received any cosmetic update ever since the second generation model was introduced. Internationally however, the Toyota Fortuner will soon be receiving a facelift, and ahead of its mid-2020 world debut, some spy shots of the updated SUV have surfaced on the internet. While the launch of the Toyota Fortuner facelift is still some time away here in India, we now know what to expect from the Fortuner’s mid-cycle update.
The Toyota Fortuner facelift seems to pack plenty of visual updates and the face of the SUV now looks very fresh and much more inline with Toyota’s new SUVs like the RAV4 and Raize. You can immediately notice that the grille is lot slimmer and has gloss black bits instead of the chunky chrome grille we see here in India. The bumper is also much more contoured now with triangle-shaped faux air intakes on each corner.
The headlights have also been revised with new LED elements and inserts. They also look much slimmer than before and make the face look much sharper. The gloss-black finish on the skid plate completes the visual update on the front for the SUV. In profile, there does not seem to be any significant change on the SUV but at the rear, there are styling tweaks in the form of a mildly restyled bumper and tail-lamp inserts.
