Author’s Note
It is fascinating to witness how such a price difference can arise on the same model. We know that the Fortuner has become extremely expensive in the Indian market in the last couple of years. The departure of Ford Endeavour from the Indian market is the prime reason for that. On top of that, the Japanese carmaker has introduced new edition models of the Fortuner to attract more customers who are looking for a premium SUV. Going forward, we can expect Toyota to launch a smaller version of the Fortuner and reports about it being inspired by something like the Toyota Champ or Rangga and testing in India are floating around.
