Toyota has launched the Toyota Etios Diesel sedan and Toyota Etios Liva Diesel hatchback in India in an official launch event held in New Delhi, India on 9th September 2011. The Etios Diesel Sedan has been priced starting from Rs. 6.44 Lakhs and comes in three variants GD, VD and VDX. The Etios Liva Diesel Hatchback has been priced starting at Rs. 5.54 Lakhs and comes in only one variant GD.

Toyota Etios Diesel and Etios Liva Diesel Specifications and Features in India
Etios Diesel and Liva Diesel are both powered by same 1.4 D4D Diesel Engine which produces a max power of 67.07 BHP @ 3800 RPM with a fixed geometry turbocharger. The max torque of this engine is 170 Nm @ 1800 to 2400 RPM. These specs suggest that the turbocharger kicks in after the 1800 RPM. The car just about 1000 Kg in weight can be very agile with a 170 Nm torque engine, so is the Etios Diesel. It delivers an amazing mileage of 23.59 KMPL on both Etios and Etios Liva which is a very impressive figure.
