Fresh reports say that Toyota Corolla Altis might be discontinued in India due to poor sales. This means that the Suzuki-badged version is also chucked off.

Latest report from Economic Times states that the Toyota Corolla Altis might not be updated for future. It will be discontinued ahead of the upcoming BS-6 emission norms, which will kick in from April 2020.
The D-Segment sedans are usually failed by the presence of premium SUVs in the same price range. As a result, that segment is constantly declining in our market.

This in turn will also affect Maruti Suzuki. It had planned to launch a rebadged version of Toyota Corolla Altis, in the same segment. It would be the most premium offering from the brand, sold through Nexa outlets.
With the presence of Maruti Suzuki in that segment, the sales might increase a bit. But not to that extent where it wins over the premium SUV segment. So, there is no point if the segment is falling.
Interestingly, there are reports suggest that Toyota Yaris might also be discontinued post BS-6 norms, because of poor sales. Further, Toyota might launch a Ciaz-badged sedan in the same price range.

Toyota Corolla Altis is not even the least selling model in that segment. It barely manages to sell more than 300 units per month on an average. For the month of March, it made 223 units opposed to Elantra, which made just 86 units.
With SUVs like Mahindra XUV500, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta and other ones, most of the buyers prefer them over sedan. All these SUVs are priced near Rs 12 Lakhs to Rs 20 Lakhs.
Other upcoming products from Toyota include a premium Baleno-badged hatchback, an entry-level MPV based on Ertiga and a sub-compact SUV, based on Vitara Brezza.
