The Toyota CH-R Crossover is in consideration for the Indian market. However, the Japanese automaker is yet to take a call on this. It could either be this, or the Rush SUV slotted for a debut in our country.
Some completely undisguised images of the Toyota CH-R crossover doing its testing rounds in the city of Bangaluru have surfaced on the internet. Earlier, Toyota officials have said that they are considering to launch the CH-R crossover in India. However, no concrete decision in this regard has been taken until now. There are speculations that instead of the CH-R, Toyota could also launch the Rush SUV in India. Both the SUVs will fall in the price range of about INR 12 lakh to 16 lakh if launched. Hence, competing with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500 and the Jeep Compass.
The Toyota CH-R is based on the Japanese automaker’s TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) and hence offers a gasoline as well as a hybrid powertrain.
