Mahindra BE 05
The first electric SUV on this list is the BE 05. Now, we must mention that ‘BE’ refers to Born Electric. Hence, all BE models with be based on a dedicated INGLO platform and will not be a conversion of some ICE-powered model. The BE 05 is slated to be launched around October 2025. It measures 4,370 mm in length making it a mid-size SUV. It has a couple-SUV silhouette and might come with ADAS features in addition to sustainable materials for the cabin and upholstery.

In terms of specs, it will have a 60 kWh and an 80 kWh battery pack allowing a driving range of 450 km on a single charge on the WLTP cycle. The electric motor will output 285 PS in single motor trim and 394 PS in the dual motor version and the charging from 0-80% will take just 30 mins. Note that these are powertrains on offer for the entire BE range. It is not necessary that the BE 05 will get all these. We reckon, that it would have the single-motor configuration with the smaller battery to keep the costs in check.

Mahindra BE 07
As the name suggests, the BE 07 will be slightly bigger than the BE 05. In terms of length, it will measure 4,565 mm which is a considerable increase from the BE 05. Since the platform and powertrain options are the same as mentioned previously, the BE 07 could be offered in both trims. This includes both battery packs and single-motor 2WD and dual-motor AWD setups. On the inside, there will be a futuristic layout with things like a heads-up display, panoramic sunroof, large touchscreen infotainment system, OTT updates, premium upholstery, ADAS safety features and more. On the outside, the design will be striking and attractive with a generous use of LED lighting. The market launch is planned for October 2026.

Mahindra BE 09
The Mahindra BE 09 will be the flagship electric SUV in this BE lineup. In fact, it is the only model whose launch date has not been announced yet. This indicates that it is too far into the future. Nevertheless, the images of the concept version suggest a rugged design with a broad front section and sturdy exterior. Being the top-of-the-line version, it will definitely be powered by the most powerful electric motors in their highest configurations. It would have a colossal infotainment display, heads-up display, digital instrument cluster, a rotary knob for the drive modes selection, sporty upholstery, cameras in place of ORVMs and more. Since the launch is too far away, there might be a lot of changes to the design and features.

Mahindra BE Rall-E
The Rall-E is a unique EV in the sense that it aims to conquer off-roading. There aren’t too many electric off-roaders around. But Mahindra already has a history of making off-road-spec SUVs that have stood the test of time. As a result, we will see a version of such an SUV in the electric realm too. Being a 4×4 EV, there will be a dual-motor setup with a large battery pack powering the Rall-E. Its exterior look extremely rugged with a tough bumper, sturdy skid plate, flared wheel arches, prominent side body cladding and high ground clearance. The details regarding the interior are not out yet. Looking at the other BE products, it is sure to get the latest layout and tech features.

Mahindra XUV700 Electric
This is the only EV that we can know a lot about since it will be based on the existing XUV700. Nevertheless, there will be some striking differences in terms of design as we saw in the concept model. This includes sharp 7-shaped LED DRLs and a massive front grille. Apart from that, it will boast Level 2 Autonomous features, 5G connectivity, OTT updates, driver drowsiness detection, a large touchscreen display in addition to the instrument cluster, multiple regenerative braking modes, and more. The powertrain options will be borrowed from other aforementioned EVs. These are the upcoming Mahindra electric cars that are slated to launch in India in the coming years.
