Top 5 Highlights of Upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO
Ventilated Seats
Let us commence this list with the first segment-first feature – ventilated seats. Now, we know that India is a hot country primarily. The summer season can be excruciating hot. In such cases, the automatic climate control is necessary. But what is even more convenient is having ventilated seats. They ensure that the occupants don’t suffer from wet backs due to excessive sweat. Hence, this function will set it apart from the other competitors in the compact SUV space.
Harman Kardon Audio
Next up, we have the 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Mahindra shared a glimpse of this premium sound system in one of its previous teasers. This will ensure that music lovers will have a great time during those long journeys in the new XUV 3XO with high-quality audio. Not just that, this could be great for regular folks who like to make their vehicle into a party place during road trips. With such a powerful audio output, they won’t feel the need for any other external appliance.

Dual Digital Screen Layout
A key addition to the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO this time around will be a new digital instrument cluster, along with a large touchscreen infotainment display. The latter stands atop the new dashboard and enhances the overall layout of the cabin. While it has not been officially announced, I believe the new XUV 3XO will get the AdrenoX connected car tech app for tons of remote functions. Most cars in modern times come with a large digital estate attracting younger audiences. They always want to stay connected to the apps they use. Hence, the overall convenience of the passengers is bound to increase.
Remote Control Dual-Zone Climate Control
The use of connected car tech will come to the surface in functions like the remote-controlled dual-zone climate control. Note that the XUV300 already used to come with a dual-zone HVAC (separate temperature and fan settings for driver and co-driver). However, this time around, the owners will be able to use this function from the comfort of their homes. They can switch on the ACs as per their needs prior to entering the cabin of the vehicle. This is a huge advantage in hot summer days when you get a cooled cabin.

Panoramic Sunroof
Finally, the new Mahindra XUV 3XO will be the first compact SUV in the country to offer a large panoramic sunroof. All other rivals have regular sunroofs. While it may not have a practical application in a country like India with so much dust and harsh sun, keeping the cover open allows a lot of light inside the cabin. This is great for those who might feel claustrophobic inside the cabin. Having a large glass area invokes a sense of airiness and space. We have seen that sunroof is among the most valued features for most car buyers in our market. Having a larger sunroof will certainly attract more customers.
Specs
While the new Mahindra XUV 3XO comes with tons of new-age features, design and amenities, one thing that will most likely continue is what lies under the bonnet. This means that even in the facelift avatar, the compact SUV will keep getting a 1.2-litre turbo petrol direct injection engine making the best-in-segment 130 hp and 230 Nm, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine developing a familiar 110 hp and 200 Nm and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine producing a healthy 115 hp and 300 Nm of peak power and torque. There will be a 6-speed manual or an AMT transmission complimenting these powertrains. The prices are likely to bear a premium over the existing range of Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 14.76 lakh, ex-showroom.
