Here are the top 5 features that you will see on the newly unveiled Kia Sonet sub compact SUV but not on the Hyundai Venue.
Kia Sonet sub compact SUV has been unveiled globally. It is the manufacturer’s third launch in India after Seltos and Carnival. Sonet is based on the platform of Hyundai Venue borrowing its engines and gearbox options as well. However, in terms of design language, it looks completely different following a modern approach.
Till now, Hyundai Venue has remained as the most feature rich compact SUV in this segment. Now, Kia Sonet has come to provide a very tough competition offering many segment first features. So, here are the top 5 features that will come on Sonet but not on the Venue.
Top 5 Features That Come On Kia Sonet But Not On Hyundai Venue
1. Venilated Seats
Sonet offers ventilated driver and front passenger seats as a segment-first feature on its top-end trims. This feature is also seen on Seltos and Creta, but not on Venue.
2. Remote Engine Start/Stop Option For Manual Variants
Even Hyundai Venue offers remote engine start/stop option but only for the DCT variants. Sonet offers the same feature for manual, iMT (Clutchless Manual) and even DCT gearboxes.
3. LED Headlamps
While Venue comes with projector headlamps and LED DRLs, Sonet goes with crown jewel LED headlamps. Anyday, the LED lights are more powerful and a better deal than halogen and projector lamps.
4. Front Parking Sensors
Sonet offers front parking sensors on the top-end trims which does not come on the Venue. This feature was first introduced by Mahindra XUV300 in this segment and now, there are two SUVs to offer it.
5. Diesel Automatic Combination
Here’s the thing. Hyundai Venue uses a 1.5 Litre four-cylinder diesel engine that comes from Kia Seltos. However, the engine has been detuned for better fuel efficiency. Now, Sonet also uses the same engine but additionally offers a torque converter AT gearbox. Venue gets a 6-speed MT as standard.
