Kia Sonet has picked up a storm in the Indian market within just some weeks of it being unveiled. The bookings are now open and on the first day itself, it broke record of Seltos to achieve highest one day numbers. The launch is scheduled to happen next week and we are expecting deliveries to commence towards the end of this month. Price expected is from Rs 7 Lakhs to Rs 13 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
Sonet will be offered with three engines – a 1.2 Litre petrol, 1.0 Litre turbo petrol and a 1.5 Litre diesel. The latest iMT gearbox that Hyundai and Kia have developed comes only on Venue and Sonet. It is a very practical gearbox for those who want best of both the worlds. The comfort of an automatic but also the driving experience of a manual stick. Seltos does not offer one, however, there might be a future possibility.
2. Remote Engine Start For Manual Variants
Kia Seltos offers remote engine start for AT and DCT variants only, whereas Sonet offers for the iMT as well as the manual variants. In case if you have to operate the remote engine start for Kia Sonet manual variants, you need to engage the parking brake and gear slotted into neutral.
3. Smart Auto Purifier With Virus Protection And Inbuilt Perfume
Both the SUVs get smart auto air purifier with touch-based operation. However, Sonet is the first car in the world to offer virus protection and inbuilt perfume. While the virus protection system remains engaged the whole time, you have to switch on the perfume feature from the touchscreen system.
