The new 2020 Hyundai i20 has been launched in India and here are the top 10 first in segment features equipped on the hatch.
The prices of 2020 Hyundai i20 start off at Rs 6.79 Lakhs up to Rs 11.18 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The new generation hatchback has been launched finally and the bookings for it have also begun. Just like any other Hyundai car, the 2020 i20 comes with many premium features and nearly 10 first in segment features. Here is the entire list of that.

1. Blue Link Internet Car Technology With 50 Connected Features
New i20 is the first car in the segment to offer internet car technology with more than 50 connected features like Geofencing, OTA map updates, stolen vehicle tracker, voice assist, weather update and much more.
2. Remote Engine Start/Stop And Remote Air Cooling Start/Stop
With the help of Blue Link internet car technology, i20 is also the first one to offer remote engine start/stop system. With your phone or your smartwatch, you can now switch on or off the engine of i20. You can also operate the air conditioning of the i20 with the same application.
3. Air Purifier
Hyundai i20 gets Oxyboost air purifier on the top-end variant, making it the first car in its class to get one. For all the buyers living in North India where pollution is rising hazardly, the addition of air purifier will make it livable atleast inside the cabin.
4. Wireless Charger With Cooling Function
On the top-end variants, the i20 will offer wireless charger with a cooling function as well. The cooling pad is important for that as due to heat emitted inside the cabin, the phone could get heated up. That could be dangerous and also, on a softer side, will increase the charging time. The cooling function will ensure that the phone does not heat up while charging.
5. iMT (Clutchless Manual Gearbox)
This iMT or the Clutchless Manual gearbox is the first in segment technology that are now seen on other cars like Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue. The iMT gearbox will come with turbo petrol engine, without a clutch but with the manual gear shifting experience.
6. Bose 7 Speaker Sound System
New i20 gets Bose 7-speaker sound system with Amplifier on the top-end variants. It will include two tweeters on the front, speakers on all four doors and a sub-woofer in the boot.

This is another handy but not that important feature. With the infotainment system of i20, you can now connect multiple phones with Bluetooth. For instance, if you want to use one phone for calling and one for listening to music, you can now connect both of them.

HAC is an important safety feature, especially for those who are beginners to driving. It will come with Hill Ascent and Descent control on the top-end variants. So, if you are going down a hill, the Hill Descent control will work to ensure that the speed is under control.

It will get Tyre Pressure Monitoring system, showing the PSI pressure for all the tyres. Whenever the pressure gets lower than required, then the cluster will show up the notification and you can check which tyre has been affected.
