Bigger Touchscreen Infotainment
Replacing its dashboard-integrated touchscreen infotainment system, the 2020 Hyundai i20 will get a bigger unit. The system will be more colourful and smoother. It will come with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link.
Blue Link Technology
Hyundai first bought the Blue Link technology to Venue, followed by Elantra facelift. The 2020 i20 will also get internet-car technology. Features onboard could be similar to that of Venue, like a remote lock and unlock, horn and headlamp switch on/off. The automatic variants could get the remote engine start/stop and AC on/off. Further, you can access all the information about the car on your mobile phone app.
Electric Sunroof
The new i20 will be the first hatchback under Rs 10 Lakhs to offer an electric sunroof. A test mule has been spied in India with the sunroof. This feature will only come on the top-end variant.
Digital Instrument Cluster
Based on numerous spy shots, we can say that the i20 will get a fully digital instrument cluster. The display will carry the average mileage, speed and trip meter in the between, flanked by RPM meter and Speedometer in digital on either side.
Cruise Control
As of now, only the Volkswagen Polo GT and Honda Jazz CVT offer cruise control in the segment. The new i20 could be the next one to get it. Of course, even this will come only on the top-end variants.
Bose Sound System
As reported by various publications, the new i20 top-spec trims will flaunt the Bose sound system. Speakers on all the doors and back with four tweeters will come.
Ambient Lighting
Instead of aftermarket ambient lighting, isn’t it better that, a manufacturer is giving it on their own? The new i20 will get ambient lighting for the foot space of the front passengers. That is unknown if it will be different colours or just one colour.
Multiple USB Ports and Wireless Charging
The new i20 will offer two USB ports at the front as standard fitment. The higher-end variants will get rear AC vents with a USB port. Further, the top-end trim will get wireless charging pad just below the AC switches.
Stronger LED Headlamps and LED DRLs
Replacing the current projector headlamps, the new i20 will sport LED projectors along with LED DRLs. Then, there will also be completely new LED taillights on offer.
17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels
The current i20 gets the 15-inch steel wheels and 16-inch alloy wheels. The new version will come with bigger 17-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels. The base trims of the new i20 will continue with 15-inch steel wheels.
