In this post, we are discussing the top 15 cars that will mark their presence at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This is a huge event and boost for the Indian automobile industry. Companies demonstrate their latest technology and cars along with future concepts which is great for the viewers to see what is going on behind the scenes. In addition to showcasing futuristic tech and vehicles, there are also car launches and price announcements. Keeping all that in mind, we are exploring the top 15 cars that we will experience at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 slated to be held in New Delhi from January 17 to January 22, 2025.
Top 15 Cars at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
Let us commence with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. It is the first EV from the Japanese auto giant. Maruti teased it a few days ago. Also, it has already been showcased in real life in some international markets. We know a few specifications already. The electric SUV will be based on the brand’s new HEARTECT-e platform with two battery pack options – a 49 kWh or a 61 kWh. The power and torque figures range between 142 hp / 189 Nm to 172 hp / 189 Nm and 181 hp / 300 Nm (AWD). In the all-wheel-drive configuration, the EV will utilize Suzuki’s trademark ALLGRIP-e technology by distributing torque where it is needed the most. Other bits include a 180 mm ground clearance and a weight between 1,702 kg and 1,899 kg. Note that there will also be a Toyota counterpart. Apart from that, it carries a modern design language with tons of rugged elements. Finally, the cabin will boast loads of new-age tech and convenience amenities to pamper the occupants.

Hyundai Creta EV
Next up, we have the Hyundai Creta EV. It is the electric iteration of the ICE Creta. Since the competition in this segment is immensely fierce, Hyundai was missing a worthy rival. Hence, it decided to leverage the popularity associated with the Creta moniker. In fact, the electric SUV has already been spotted testing in India in the last few weeks. Unfortunately, the details pertaining to specifications are scarce. Still, we expect it to carry tons of tech functionalities including dual displays (one for the driver’s instrument cluster and one for infotainment), Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and more. On the outside, it will borrow most elements from the Creta in terms of design but will also bear a few distinct components to set it apart from the ICE model.

Tata Harrier EV and Safari EV
Then there are the Tata Harrier EV and Safari EV on this list as well. Harrier and Safari are the flagship models from the Indian automaker. Moreover, the electric iterations of these two have been spied testing on our roads for many months now. In essence, the Safari is the 7-seat iteration of the Harrier. In fact, at previous auto expo events, we even got a glimpse of the electric SUV. Still, Tata Motors has been tight-lipped about the exact specifications. Going by how premium the regular ICE model is, we can expect the utmost modern-day amenities to woo the customers. Talking about powertrain options, the battery size could be over 60 kWh of capacity with single-motor 2WD or dual-motor AWD configurations. It will rival the upcoming electric variant of the Mahindra XUV700 called the XEV 7e. We are expecting a price tag of around Rs 30 lakh.

Tata Sierra EV
On this list of the top 15 cars at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the Tata Sierra EV is the next product. Tata Motors aims to leverage the legendary status associated with the Sierra moniker in India since the 1990s. Essentially, it will be the new flagship electric SUV from the Indian auto giant. We have already got glimpses of the Tata Sierra EV at the Auto Expo last year. It bears an attractive exterior styling with a sleek front fascia with an LED light bar which runs the width of the SUV and culminates on either side in LED DRLs which double up as turn signals, while the main headlamp cluster is located down below. Moreover, the front section even contains a sporty bumper with a rugged skid plate. The side section carries elegant alloy wheels, flush-fitting door handles, side body cladding, pronounced wheel arches and a boxy silhouette. We are expecting a 60 kWh battery pack with a range of approximately 500 km on a single charge. Note that it will also come in petrol and diesel avatars.

Tata Sumo
Interestingly, the Tata Sumo moniker has also been in the news online in the last few weeks. Some sources tell us that the Indian automobile giant might be thinking about introducing the Sumo in our market in some form. This could be a unique SUV in addition to the Harrier and Safari. Perhaps, the aims with the Sumo could be to offer something more rugged which is in line with its image. As a matter of fact, we also had some automobile artists come up with enticing virtual rendition of what the SUV could look like. Hence, I am specifically intrigued by the prospect of brining back the iconic moniker in a modern avatar. However, the details pertaining to this information are extremely scarce at the moment. Still, I will keep an eye out for a Tata Sumo at the auto expo.
Mahindra BE 6e
We will also see the Mahindra BE 6e at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It has already been showcased for our market but the price announcement is awaited. It uses Mahindra’s global modular and scalable EV platform called INGLO. There are two battery packs on offer – 59 kWh and 79 kWh with ARAI-claimed range figures of 535 km and 682 km (550 km on WLTP), respectively. The power and torque outputs range from 228 hp / 380 Nm for the smaller battery to 281 hp / 380 Nm for the larger one, respectively. This allows a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration of 6.7 seconds in the most sporty settings. The EV boasts a ground clearance of 207 mm and a boot capacity of 455 litres at the rear and 45 litres at the front (frunk). We only know that it will start at Rs 18.90 lakh, ex-showroom excluding the cost of the charger and its installation. However, the entire details of the price will emerge at the auto expo.

Mahindra XEV 9e
Using the same platform as the BE 6e, we will also know the price range of the XEV 9e. It is, essentially, the electric coupe version of the XUV700. It is available with two batteries with BYD’s Blade Cell technology with LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry – 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The MID ranges are 542 km and 656 km, respectively. The power and torque figures are 286 hp and 380 Nm with the larger battery and 231 hp and 380 Nm with the smaller unit, respectively. Mahindra XEV 7e
We recently spotted the electric iteration of the Mahindra XUV700 testing on the Indian roads as well. Note that this differs from the XEV 9e in that it will carry almost the same non-coupe body shape as the regular XUV700. Hence, the exterior styling will be a lot similar to the XUV700. However, the interior cabin will incorporate a few changes that will alter the overall appearance of the vehicle. This includes things like a triple display – a digital instrument cluster, an infotainment display and a passenger display. It remains to be seen what kind of battery pack and specifications it will boast. Still, we can expect single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations.

Mahindra Thar.e
We might also get a glimpse of the Mahindra Thar.e at the upcoming event. Note that it is the electric iteration of the regular Thar. However, in the electric guise, Mahindra had showcased a completely different aesthetic configuration and even more impressive capabilities last year. The exterior look rugged and purposeful with a combination of old-school butch demeanour and new-age features. It will utilize a modified INGLO architecture known as P1, bidding farewell from the ladder-frame chassis as on the current SUV. It might get the option of 60 kWh or an 80 kWh battery pack. Needless to mention, it will draw power from two electric motors for a 4×4 drivetrain lending it immense off-roading capabilities. Let us see if we are able to sequester more details this time around.

Battery | 60 kWh and 80 kWh |

MG Cyberster
Shifting our focus to MG, the Chinese-owned British car marque will launch its Cyberster electric sportscar at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Note that it has already been on offer in many international markets across the globe. Its main attraction is its exterior styling making it one of the best-looking EVs on the planet. Furthermore, we are also expecting a relatively modest price tag in comparison to other sports cars from the legacy luxury carmakers. On the inside, it offers modern amenities like 2 Infotainment Screens and 1 Driver’s Instrument Cluster, Super-sport Mode for Racing, Powered Seats with Memory Function, Alcantara Leather, Retractable Roof, Ambient Lighting, Frameless Windows, Premium Bose Audio System, etc. Furthermore, there is a 77 kWh battery pack which sends power to electric motors for an all-wheel-drive configuration with a total output of 536 hp and 726 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. However, the most striking aspect is the 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.2 seconds. We will most likely get to know the price at the auto expo.

MG Gloster Facelift
Yet another MG car that will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 is the Gloster facelift. Note that Gloster is the flagship offering from MG in India. It had been due for an upgrade for a long time now. The test mule has been spied testing on multiple occasions. We expect design alterations to attract more customers in addition to new amenities inside the cabin. However, what will remain the same is the powertrain. It will most likely continue with a 2.0-litre diesel engine in two configurations – single turbo and twin turbo. The power and torque output figures will remain at 163 PS / 375 Nm and 218 PS / 480 Nm, respectively. Performing the transmission duties is an 8-speed automatic transmission. Skoda Kodiaq
In the last few months, we have been witnessing foreign media review the latest-generation Skoda Kodiaq. Since it has already been launched in Europe, India will also likely get it in the coming weeks. As a matter of fact, we might get the to set our eyes on it at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It carries all sorts of modern-day premium amenities including things like a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, a virtual cockpit driver’s instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel with multimedia controls, premium audio system, dual glovebox, dual wireless smartphone chargers, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rotary dials for HVAC, comfortable seats, gearbox shifter on the steering column, USB chargers, rear AC vents and USB ports, sliding and reclining rear seats, rear armrest with cup holders, large boot space, ambient lighting, and much more. Skoda Octavia RS
The next vehicle on this list is the Skoda Octavia RS. You must know that the RS is an iconic moniker in the legacy of the Czech carmaker. The RS iteration of the Octavia represents the zenith of what Skoda has to offer in terms of sheer performance. In the past, we have received two generations of this beast – Octavia RS 230 in 2017 and Octavia RS 245 in 2020. These were CBU units and were on sale in limited numbers. Still, these flew off the shelf quite rapidly. Aiming to replicate that success, we could even see the new 4th-generation Skoda Octavia RS on display at the auto expo. Going by the international model, it will carry a 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol mill which will generate a whopping 265 hp and 370 Nm of peak power and torque. The automatic transmission will enable an exhilarating performance.
Expected Specs | Skoda Octavia RS |
Engine | 2.0L Turbo Petrol |
Power | 265 hp |
Torque | 370 Nm |

Skoda Superb
The Czech carmaker might also be planning to launch the next-generation Skoda Superb in our market. Again, it has also been launched in many international markets in the last few months. As a consequence, we could finally see it in the flesh at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in its latest avatar. The aim will be to gauge the response of the public. Note that we already have the CBU Superb in our market which retails for over Rs 50 lakh. This puts it at par with the entry level German luxury cars. With new-age amenities and a new exterior styling, I am expecting an even higher price point. That will really make things interesting. The international model is available with multiple powertrain options but the Indian-spec trim might only carry the familiar 2.0-litre turbo petrol mill making 190 PS and 320 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. Also, the transmission duties will be carried out by a sole 7-speed DSG gearbox.
Expected Specs | Skoda Superb |
Engine | 2.0L Turbo Petrol |
Power | 190 PS |
Torque | 320 Nm |
Transmission | 7-DSG |
Skoda Kylaq
Finally, Skoda recently launched its first-ever compact SUV, the Kylaq. We know that it has announced a starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh with the top variant costing Rs 14.40 lakh, ex-showroom. That is in line with most rivals in this crowded segment. Note that the vehicle will be on display at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and the deliveries are slated to commence from February onwards. It shares powertrains with the Kushaq and Slavia. This means a peppy 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI turbo petrol mill which churns out a familiar 115 PS and 178 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. One can choose between either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission. Skoda claims a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 10.5 seconds with a top speed of 188 km/h. These are the top 15 cars to watch out for at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
