In a rather shocking turn of events, a toll worker was spotted hanging in the front of a moving truck as the driver took him for a ride for 80 km. Yes, you heard that right! Indian roads are full of unbelievable activities and this is a prime example of that. I have reported many bizarre cases of road users’ altercations with toll employees in the past. In fact, we have seen fights break out due to people looking for excuses not to pay the toll tax. But sometimes, things can get extreme. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case.
Toll Worker Hanging in Front of Moving Truck
This video comes from pakke_truckanwale on Instagram. The visuals capture a rather astounding scenario. The truck is being driven at decent speed on a highway. However, a man is seen standing in front of the windshield while talking to someone on the phone. The text in the video claims that the driver of the truck took the toll employee for a ride for a whopping 80 km. Allegedly, they got into an argument over something and the toll worker climbed onto the truck. Seeing this, the truck driver started moving the truck and didn’t stop for 80 km. Because the speed of the truck was high, he was not able to jump midway.
In fact, the toll worker is seen angrily talking to someone on the phone. He might be calling for help. This has attracted hilarious and concerning comments from social media users. People were shocked to witness the sheer brazenness of this entire incident. One user commented, “50-60 km baad to dusra tool aajata h bhai [After 50-60 km, another toll would’ve arrived]”. Road users are aware of instances where drivers try to avoid paying tolls on some occasions. Conversely, even some toll operators sometimes misbehave with car owners. But we can’t say anything for sure in this case.
Our View
I am shocked to see this incident myself even though I have written about such instances on many occasions in the past. But I don’t recall a case where the driver took the toll operator so far away. I must also mention here that we can’t confirm or deny the claims in this video. Still, it is clear that the driver took the toll operator some distance away on the highway. We advise our readers to not jump to any conclusions based on video clips on the internet. One can never be too sure about their veracity.
