This modified Maruti S-Cross gets minor cosmetic tweaks but under the hood, gets some serious performance modifications done.
Maruti S-Cross is a crossover SUV that has temporarily been discontinued in India. Soon, it will get a petrol engine replacing its 1.3 Litre Multijet diesel engine. Due to the BS6 norms, Maruti discontinued its diesel engines in India completely. A couple of months back, Maruti launched the Vitara Brezza Petrol as well.
Here is one such modified example of the Maruti S-Cross which gets some amazing performance modifications. The model in question is the S-Cross 1.6 Litre diesel which was discontinued a couple of years back. The engine in its original condition produced 118 BHP and now produces 195 BHP and 430 Nm of peak torque.

430 Nm of torque is more than a lot of bigger SUVs in India and that’s something we want to try. Under the hood, you get Stage 3 Wolf Moto Performance ECU Tune, Garrett Turbo upgrade and an Intercooler Upgrade. That’s not just it. Further, it gets Blackworatks De-Cat SS304 Downpipe with a Borla ProXS Muffler and Custom Re-routed Air Intake System.
Inside the cabin, you can see auto-meter boost and Pyrometer gauges, which just add up to the driving experience. Cosmetic upgrades include Smoke headlamps, 17-inch Lenso Project D Rims wrapped in 225/50/17 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Rubber and 20mm Rear Wheel Spacers. All the chrome details have been removed from the car.
To ensure all this high performance is safe for the driver, the owner has also installed EBC Greenstuff Brake Pads. This S-Cross can go from 0-100 km/hr in just 6.7 seconds flat. Anyways, the Maruti S-Cross 1.6D had a great driving experience besides the crossover being a great handling machine. You can check out its acceleration video below.

Taking its expected price into consideration, it will be a rival to Renault Duster and a cheaper alternative to Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta.
