Author’s Note
This is a huge challenge in the promotion and mass adoption of EVs for the authorities. The government has been offering attractive incentives to encourage people to purchase electric cars. However, with incidents like these, it becomes difficult to gain the trust of the common public. There are already enough reasons for people to not consider EVs. This will add to the woes of even those who were on the fence about EVs. Let us hope that the government puts necessary measures in place to avoid such scenarios in the future.
