The vlog starts with Ravish Kumar sitting in a Tesla Model Y in the streets of New York, USA. He is in conversation with what seems like the owner of the EV. The latter is explaining to him the convenience features that a Tesla comes equipped with. As we all know, the interior of a Tesla is devoid of any physical buttons, there is a large touchscreen display at the centre that contains all the functions including HVAC, drive information, multimedia and more.

However, Ravish looks the most impressed by the hardware for autonomous driving, including cameras, sensors, radars, etc. The screen shows a real-life map of everything happening on the road. This includes the vehicles and pedestrians that are around the car. By knowing the distance and exact position of each obstacle, the EV is able to drive itself to avoid these. However, this facility is not enabled in Ravish’s car.

Apart from that, the senior journalist is also taken aback by the sheer acceleration of the EV. EVs hold the distinction of being vehicles in which the entire torque is available instantly unlike traditional ICE-powered cars. Therefore, the acceleration of all EVs is brisk and lightning. Tesla Model Y has an asking price of around US$85,000 (approx. Rs 70 lakh when converted to INR). There were reports of Tesla entering the Indian market, but due to some issues with the Govt of India, the plan remains suspended for the time being.
