Tesla is adopting the oldest trick in the book – offering discounts to attract new customers.
Tesla has further slashed the prices of its Model 3 in the USA. As per the latest news, there are discounts of up to $2,680 on the newly ordered Model 3, bringing the cost down to $42,060. This is among the most significant rebates ever offered by the largest EV market in the world on its most affordable model in the lineup. Around two weeks ago, this discount was just $1,300. It is shocking to see this amount getting doubled in such a short span of time. Clearly, Tesla is in a hurry to clear its inventory, perhaps to make room for something new like the Model 3 Highland.

Tesla Model 3 Discounts
Visiting the official website of Tesla reveals that one could order a new Model 3 at just $42,060. Note that this price will further go down when the Federal Tax Credit is applied to it. Essentially, this is the best time to own a Tesla car. Apart from that, there are discounts of around $600 on some Model Ys also. In the top-spec Model X and Model S range, there are steeper discounts of $6,330 and $5,000 respectively. It is incredible to see how Tesla is able to offer such discounts despite inflation in the economy.

There is also a video on YouTube by Dr. Know-it-all Know it all where the YouTuber is on the official website of Tesla. He is on the inventory page and is browsing through the offers on the purchase of Model 3. Interestingly, he comes across many offers that go as low as a jaw-dropping $37,830 before any Federal Tax Credit. It is listed in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is in white colour. This makes things really interesting indeed. There are numerous EVs on sale under $40,000 which is quite shocking.

As the competition from legacy and new carmakers is on the rise in the EV space, Tesla wants to ensure that its top place is secure. That is the reason why we are witnessing so many discounts being offered on Tesla cars since the beginning of this year. That is a clear indication of how difficult it is at the moment as new players try to establish themselves. Tesla is certainly feeling the heat. The last resort that it is left with is offering chunky discounts so that the customers remain attracted to Tesla cars. Another reason could also be the arrival of the Model 3 Highland with hardware (HW4). We shall see how things pan out in times to come.
