Tata Yodha, a commercial vehicle that costs many times lesser than Toyota Fortuner, were recently involved in a high-speed t-bone accident
Tata Motors vehicles have time and again proved their mettle by keeping their occupants safe in some dangerous crashes. We have seen many crashes of models like the Harrier, Nexon and even the Tiago, a budget-end car, keeping all the passengers safe in some scary accidents. However, the recent crash to come to light involves the Tata Yodha, a CV, and the highly-popular Toyota Fortuner. This high-speed crash took place when the SUV, which was being driven at a high-speed, crashed in the side of the Yodha.

Thankfully, all the occupants of the SUV as well as the pickup truck came out of the damaged vehicles totally safe. But what’s surprising here is that the front-end of the Fortuner is totally damaged but the Yodha has suffered minimal damage. The visuals we have here with us show that the Toyota is left unusable in this accident. The entire front-end has been totalled and even the engine has got dislodged from the mounts. The Tata CV, however, has just got some dents on its door and trailer.
It must be mentioned here that the Tata Yodha costs Rs 6.94 lakh to Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Toyota Fortuner costs Rs 31.39 – 43.43 Lakh (ex-showroom). However, the Fortuner involved in the accident is the old generation model. Even then, the SUV used to cost many times more than the commercial vehicle. It’s also a far more sophisticated model. In spite of all this, it’s clear that the Yodha has proven to be a tougher model in this accident. Thankfully, though, the SUV has kept its occupants safe in this high-speed accident.
