Tata Motors may not be having the time of their life in the passenger vehicle segment but the commercial vehicle department is the one where they have been the disputed leaders for quite a while. Tata Motors, in a bid to further increase the grip over the people mover segment has just launched their highly popular Venture which is based on the Super Ace platform in three new shades to further increase the appeal of the vehicle.
The latest shades to make their way on to the OS are School Yellow, Castle Grey and Sardina Red. The School Yellow coloured will be aimed squarely at. The Tata Venture comes with 1.4 litre turbocharged intercooled diesel engine which gives out a nice and easy 70 BHP and comes in 7 seater and 8 seater options with all the passengers getting enough room to seat themselves comfortably. Mr. Ashesh Dhar, Head of Tata’s UV division at the time of the Safari Storme’s launch in Chennai had stated that the company was also working on giving the Venture a comprehensive facelift in near future.
The CR4 engine which is expected to make its way on to the Venture in near future as well as on the Indica eV2. The Tata Venture comes with some of class leading features which are present in the B-Segment cars and entry level sedans such as a power steering, an air conditioning unit with rear vents, rear washer, wiper, defogger and a feature not seen even on some of entry level sedans, keyless entry on the top of the line variant.
The addition of newer shades comes as a mid-life refresh for the people mover before the complete overhaul takes place. Tata Venture has been quite the popular vehicle in the commercial vehicle segment due to its ability to seat the passengers comfortably and give them the comfort of a sedan. It has found a lot of takers in the form of cab operators and the schools use it too to ferry the students around. The Venture is looking venture into more territories and we believe that the Tata badge on the front will surely add to its appeal amongst the prospective buyers as Tata means reliability and cheap maintenance.
