Tata Motors has launched the new Tigor compact sedan. The Tigor follows the Zest in the manufacturer’s onslaught of compact sedans. So, basically, the Tigor is to the Tiago what the Zest is to the Bolt. Hence, it’s only obvious that both the compact sedans we have here belong to different segments. While the Tigor has a relatively lower price tag than most other compact sedans, its higher variants might still have to face heat from the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire and Hyundai Xcent. This also means the Tigor might end up eating into the sales of the Zest. In this post, we compare the Tata Tigor and the Zest to see if the latter really faces some threat from its new sibling. So, read on for our Tata Tigor vs Tata Zest comparison post here-

Tata Tigor vs Hyundai Xcent Comparison Verdict
- Price– The Tata Tigor cheaper than the Zest by 50,000-80,000 and hence holds a price advantage over the Zest.
- Specifications– With more powerful and refined engines, Zest is the clear winner here.
- Mileage– The Tigor has a higher mileage than the Zest, which is sure to attract many.
- Dimensions– The Zest offers more cabin space, but the Tigor offers a bigger boot.
Verdict– It seems like Tata Motors has got it really right with the Tigor. In many aspects, it’s almost equally matched to the bigger, pricier Zest. However, the Tigor’s Achilles Heel is its Diesel engine, which is the least powerful in this company. That said, it does offer higher mileage. If nothing else, the Tigor is definitely going to have at least some effect on the sales of Tata Zest.
