Tata Motors has launched the new Tigor compact sedan. The Tigor is the third-ever compact sedan from Tata Motors (the first and the second being the Indigo eCS and the Zest, respectively.) As you must have guessed it, the Tigor is based on the Tiago, which, in the first place, is already a well-sorted car. The Tigor is really attractive, which is mainly due to its very well-sculpted notchback form. It also offers many features, among which is a premium touchscreen infotainment system. While the Tigor looks really promising, it needs to rival some well established competition to make a name for itself. While we have earlier came up with a comparison of the Tata Tigor with the Maruti Swift Dzire, in this post here, we compare the Tata Tigor and the Hyundai Xcent. Verdict– It seems like Tata Motors has got it really right with the Tigor. In most aspects, it is equally matched to the Xcent. However, the Tigor’s Achilles Heel is its Diesel engine, which is the least powerful in this company. That said, it does offer higher mileage. If nothing else, the Tigor is definitely going to have at least some effect on the sales of Xcent and Dzire.
