The Tata Tigor EV facelift has been spotted testing on our roads for the first time and it boasts of the same changes as the ICE Tigor. Its expected to hit showrooms very soon.
After Tata debuted the facelifted Tiago and Tigor, the company has now started testing the Tigor EV facelift on our roads and the very first spy images of the car have now surfaced on the internet. The spied test mule looks nearly identical to the recently launched BS6-compliant Tigor compact-sedan. We expect the updated Tigor EV facelift to hit Tata showrooms in the coming days.
The visual changes on the Tigor EV facelift are identical to the ones on its ICE powered sibling. The front-end is completely revamped with a much sharper grille that merges seamlessly with the new halogen headlamps. The front bumper also gets similar updates as the ICE Tata Tigor. They will feature LED DRLs as well. The spotted test mule did not sport any changes on the sides or the rear. However, we expect Tata to offer dual-tone alloy wheels on the production-spec model.
We do not however expect any significant change on the inside of the car. The standard ICE Tigor got a new steering wheel from the Altroz and we expect that to continue on the EV as well. Apart from that, Tata could also offer a new interior color scheme, just as we saw with the ICE Tigor facelift. The infotainment system could also possibly receive an update with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In terms of features, the Tigor EV facelift will continue with features like climate control, a Harman sound system, remote locking, a multi-info display, power windows, dual airbags, ABS with EBD as well as rear parking sensors. We also do not expect any changes on the mechanical front with the car continuing to use its current electric powertrain. The electric motor in the current model develops 41PS and 105Nm. It’s paired to a 21.5kWh battery pack and offers a claimed range of 213km.

We expect the facelifted Tigor EV to cost slightly more than the current model which is priced from Rs 9.54 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tigor EV rivals the Mahindra e-Verito in the Indian electric vehicle space.
