The Tigor EV will be available to private buyers too once it’s launched.
Tata Motors will be bringing the Tigor electric next week with an extended driving range. Currently, the driving range is limited to 142 km and with the launch of an extended version, it will come at 200 km.
Also, the Tata Tigor Electric will be made available to private buyers too. Currently, the Tigor EV was offered to cab aggregators and EESL staff. It starts at Rs 9.96 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.30 lakh. But these prices have been added with FAME II subsidies. Without it, the prices start at Rs 11.58 lakh and go up till Rs 11.92 lakh with the benefits of reduction in GSTs and EVs. All prices relate to ex-showroom, Delhi.
The current version of the Tata Tigor electric uses a 72 V, 3-Phase Induction motor which provides a lesser driving range of 142 km on a single charge. It generates a total of 40 bhp and a peak torque of 105 Nm. Transmission option includes a single speed automatic only. Top speed for the same restricts to 80km/h.

The battery of the Tigor Electric can be charged up to 80% in just 6 hours via standard AC wall socket. A DC 15kW fast charger is also available which will charge the car to 80% in just 1.5 hours. Tata currently offers a 3 year or 1.25 lakh km warranty with the battery pack for the EV.
The Tigor electric comes in three variants – XE, XM and XT. Features onboard include LED taillights, climate control, power-adjustable wing mirrors. shark fin antenna and among others. The higher spec will see 14-inch alloy wheels whereas the base and mid-spec models will see steel wheels. Also with the addition of battery pack, the boot space is reduced by 109 litres.
Standard safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system and seat belt reminders will comes with the Tata Tigor electric vehicle.

Furthermore, one It comes with three colour options (white, silver and blue) to satisfy the needs of the buyer. Design wise the sedan looks the same as its seen with other powertrains options. The exterior sees an EV badging in blue on the front grille and on the fuel lid.
