Tata Tiago is one of the safest cars in its segment. It also offers practical options at an affordable price. The popular hatchback comes with a 4-star safety Global NCAP rating. Safety features on the car include ABS with EBD, Overspeed warning, and central locking. Additionally, the new Tata car features a strong build as touted by multiple car owners. Now, another report of a happy owner has surfaced online. Impressed with its safety offerings, they bought another Tata Tiago. Let’s take a closer look:

As you can see in the images above, a Yellow Tata Tiago suffered heavy damage in an accident. However, it managed to keep the driver and the passengers safe. The accident happened when Mr. Sathya Prakash Reddy was traveling with his friends from Ahmedabad to Hyderabad. At some point, he lost focus and turned the steering quickly after spotting a big pothole when it was too late. Since the car traveled at 100 km/h at that moment, the owner lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the car went off the road and made four rollovers.
Despite such an extreme accident, Mr. Sathya Prakash Reddy only had a few flesh wounds on his right hand (it got stuck between the roof and the door). Both friends escaped the mishap with only a few minor scratches. On the other hand, the car suffered heavy damage to the roof and windshield. It was completely damaged on the driver’s side. As a result, the owner was unconscious and stuck inside. Fortunately, the locals came to the rescue and almost everyone was safe. The owner credits the car build for keeping him alive. He thinks they would have survived such a tumble in any other car. He went back and purchased a new Tata Tiago.

The above incident highlights the importance of safe cars. The Tata cars are known for their great build and solid safety features. Many owners have shared similar experiences on social media. This has increased awareness among customers and motivated other brands to raise their game. Fortunately, even the government is now asking car manufacturers to sell cars that follow the safety standard rules of pedestrian safety. Recently, the MoRTH secretary expressed his concern about a few manufacturers selling cars with lower safety standards in India. Apparently, the same companies are exporting safer cars abroad. More stringent safety standards will be great for Indian customers.
