In a latest incident, a Tata Tiago iCNG got entangled in a multi-car collision on a highway. Tata Motors is known for making some of the safest cars in the country. In fact, even its entry-level vehicles possess healthy safety ratings. The Tiago is a perfect case in point. In fact, that is the main reason for the massive success of the brand in our market. What is even more important is that Tata cars have shown excellent performances in real-life accidents too. For now, let us delve into the details of this case here.
Tata Tiago iCNG in Multi-car Collision
The specifics emerge from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel features content around the performance of everyday cars in terrible situations. This time around, a case has emerged from Uttar Pradesh. As per the information by the owner of the Tiago in this video, he was travelling from Meerut to Shamli. Due to heavy fog, the visibility was minimal. He claims that as he was getting down from a flyover, a truck was parked in the high-speed lane without any warning signal. Because of low visibility, the driver was able to see it too late.
Unfortunately, he crashed into the back of the truck with quite some force. Thereafter, a couple of vehicles hit the Tiago from behind as well. Thankfully, the driver was able to escape before the cars hit the Tiago. Hence, despite the impactful first collision, he was totally safe. In fact, he made the video explaining the entire incident. No one was seriously injured in this horrible crash which resulted in total damage of the Tiago due to the impact from front and rear. The other cars were also significantly damaged. Impressively, the Tiago was able to demonstrate a great performance.
My View
Driving during heavy fog is extremely challenging. It is a phenomenon which takes the lives of thousands of road users each year. Unfortunately, this is a worldwide occurrence and not something specific to just India. Still, we can take preventive measures in such situations. For instance, you must always drive very slowly so that even if some unexpected car appears in the front, you are able to hit the brakes in time. That is the only way to tackle this issue. Also, if you see anyone parked in the middle of a highway for no reason at all, make sure to report them to the authorities so that appropriate action can be taken against them.
