The Tata Tiago facelift is going to come with a stiffer body, improved safety features and of course, cosmetic as well as feature upgrades.
Tata Motors has promised that it will introduce a series of new vehicles in India this year. The sequence, which began with the launch of the Harrier, will be followed by the likes of 45X based premium hatchback soon. However, it seems that there is a wild card in-between. Tata Motors is currently also working on a mid-life update for the Tiago compact hatchback.
We believe that Tata Motors is going to launch the 45X based premium hatchback in India sometime later this year. Ahead of this, the homegrown automaker could introduce the mid-life facelift for the Tiago hatchback.

As seen in the spy images, the Tata Tiago facelift will get considerable aesthetic alterations. The front fascia will observe major changes. These are likely to include a completely new grille design along with major alteration of the headlight assembly. In addition to this, the front bumper will also feature some major changes. Similar changes are expected to be done on the rear fascia of the hatchback as well.

On the inside, the Tata Tiago facelift will continue to come with the same dashboard layout as before. That said, the centre console is likely to feature some minor updated. Tata is likely to increase the feature list of this hatchback with this mid-life update.
Another area where the Tata Tiago facelift will score better in comparison to the model that is its safety equipment list. As standard, buyers will now get dual airbags with ABS and EBD along with rear parking sensors and high-speed alert system. We expect the automaker to improve the structural strength of the car as well in order to meet the approaching crash test regulations.

The engine specifications of the Tata Tiago facelift will remain the same as before. It is going to come with a 1.2-litre petrol engine. While the diesel motor is going to be a 1.05-litre unit. It is going to get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. In addition to this, there will be a 5-speed AMT unit on offer on select variants.
Prices for the Tata Tiago facelift are likely to increase in comparison to the model that it will replace. Currently, this compact hatchback falls in-between the prices range of INR 4.20 lakh to INR 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
