Tata Tiago has scored a 4-star rating adult protection in the Global NCAP crash tests under Safer Cars for India initiative
A Tata Tiago owner has crashed head-on into a brick wall similar to what happened with an Altroz a few months ago. The impact has been so huge that the car has broken through the 8-inch thick brick wall of a house. We have already seen several examples of strong build quality of Tata cars before and the recent crash is in line with those. But it’s still surprising to see the Tiago totally intact even after making its way almost through the brick wall.

As seen in the video above, you can see a Tata Tiago hanging out of a thick boundary wall. As seen in the visuals, a thick piece of wall can be seen lying broken below but the car has suffered almost no damage at all. Pretty unsurprisingly, even the occupant is completely fine. It’s not clear how this accident happened but it’s being guessed that the driver was a newbie who was just learning how to drive well. He seemed to have misjudged accelerator pedal for brake pedal and ended up hitting the wall head-on. Available in a price range of Rs 5.19 lakh to Rs 7.64 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Tiago rivals the likes of Maruti Celerio and Hyundai Santro. The transmission options available include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT, while the hatchback is even available in an iCNG variant.
