Specs
The Sumo used to come powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that produced 84 hp and 250 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The SUV is quite common even today as a people mover and in the mountainous terrains of our country where vehicles need to be tough and rugged to survive. Sumo can take a lot of beating which is why people use it as the go-to commercial vehicle in the mountains.
