Tata Safari First Service Experience and Cost
The owner is greeted at the entrance of the service centre by the service executive. He asks for the information about the service to which the owner replies that the first service is due. Then he explains the things that need to be changed in the first service like the Oil Top Up, AC Filter and thorough washing of the car. There were not too many questions after that and the executive takes the car inside the service station. He asks the owner to sit in the lounge and gives him an estimated 2 and a half hours time. Anti-Rust and Teflon Coating
The engineer at the workshop suggests the owner, the anti-rust and Teflon coating. It is generally done in order to prevent the rusting of the underbody parts due to water and moisture. The anti-rust coating for the silencer is particularly important because of being an iron component. The Teflon coating on the body prevents the yellowish colour fade of the white paint after some time. A lot of people face the issue of yellowing of the body paint. Thereafter, the anti-rust spray is also applied to the engine bay. All in all, he is charged Rs 8,700 for the entire anti-rust and Teflon coating. This is a reasonable investment to protect the over Rs 22 lakh SUV.

Tata Safari comes with the 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine making 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. There is the option of either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. The prices of the Tata Safari start at Rs 14.99 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 21.81 lakh, ex-showroom.
