Digital automobile artists have a unique way of blending vehicles from different eras as seen in this case.
Interestingly, we’ve spoken a fair about the Tata Punch in recent times. Interestingly, though, all these mentions of the vehicle have been in relation to the entry of a new arch rival, the Hyundai Exter. Being a newer car, the Exter looks fresher and even a bit bolder. However, here is an unofficial version of the Punch that certainly looks a tad sportier. It’s inspired by the Indica Silhouette concept that was showcased by Tata Motors over a decade ago. Punch is a successful micro SUV that has been featuring on the list of the top 10 highest-selling cars in the country ever since its launch. Its 5-star safety, striking bold looks, SUV silhouette and latest features are some of the main reasons for its popularity. On the other hand, the Indica was the first made-in-India car. It started the brand that is now one of the biggest in the country. Let us remind you of a certain Silhouette concept of the Indica that was showcased a few years ago for the racing track.

It is based on the Silhouette Concept that was developed by Tata Motors some years ago for the Indica. There is a wide-body kit with extended wheel arches, side-body cladding, a colossal rear spoiler, and large tyres. All these elements are reminiscent of the Indica concept from the yesteryears. The red and black dual-tone theme oozes the sportiness that we often see on the racing track.

Specs
This unique Tata Indica was created by the partnership of Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd. It was powered by a racing-ready version of Renault-Nissan’s VQ 3.5-litre V6 engine that produced 330 PS of peak power. It was mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox allowing an acceleration time of just 4.5 secs for a 0-100 km/h sprint. The top speed was rated at a cool 270 km/h and the engine was placed in the middle making it a hardcore hot-hatch. The power was sent to the rear wheels which is quite common among performance cars.

What We Think
We loved this callback to the iconic Indica Silhouette concept by this digital automobile artist. Needless to mention, we are aware that something like this will most likely never exist in real life, but we relish it in the virtual realm nevertheless. Punch is a proper SUV while this design theme is best suited for hatchbacks and sedans that are used in races. Thankfully, we were able to visit a legend via this digital illustration and we are glad to share information about this rare Tata car with our readers.
