Author’s Note
Demonstrating new cars in cricket matches is a common strategy a lot of carmakers adopt. This is particularly true for India where Cricket is almost like a religion. This gives a ton of eyeballs to the car which can potentially enhance its visibility among the potential car buyers. On the flip side, the car can also get damaged as we saw in the Women’s IPL when the Australian batter Ellyse Perry broke the window of the Punch EV with a huge six. But all that is a small price to pay in comparison to the kind of exposure the car gets.
