The first walkaround video of the Tata Punch reveals the 90-degree opening doors. Punch is the micro-SUV from Tata Motors which is based on the HBX concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. Catering to growing needs for the practicality of the evolving population, the Punch is a rugged and muscular SUV justifying the SUV badge. Tata is becoming increasingly popular in every segment which is reflected in its sales. To cover all ends, Tata is introducing the Punch to have an entry-level model in its lineup. The first walkaround video has revealed quite a few details of the exterior and interior of the micro-SUV. Let us take a look at these details thoroughly.

Tata Punch Walkaround Details
The video reveals the rear-end of the Punch in which the tri-arrow style taillamps are visible which resemble those on the Nexon. The overall stance indicated high ground clearance which will be a boon for people living on the outskirts of big cities. The boot also seems to be decent-sized. The wheel arches are pronounced along with the body cladding of the side. The alloy wheels give the micro-SUV a modern appearance. The front fascia is heavily inspired by the likes of Nexon and Harrier. The split LED DRLs and headlamps are borrowed from the Harrier and the front grille is slapped out of the Nexon. Having the traits of such good-looking SUVs mean that the Punch will be a handsome SUV as well.

Interiors
The interiors of the Tata Punch are also inspired by other Tata products. The part-digital instrument cluster is fetched out of an Altroz but the dashboard design along with the central console layout and AC vents are unique to this car itself. This model is sporting a black and beige interior scheme which is preferred by many customers. We will have to wait to find out if there are other options available at the time of the launch. Apart from that, a 7-inch Digital Infotainment System is also visible in the video which is most likely feature all the modern features too. The doors will also open 90-degree on the Punch which has become a trademark of Tata Motors as seen in the walkaround video.

Specs
The micro SUV will come with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine making 86 hp. There might well be turbo petrol on offer as well. This engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. The prices are expected to be in the vicinity of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, ex-showroom. It will rival the likes of Maruti Ignis, S-Presso, Renault Kwid and the upcoming Hyundai Casper in our market.
