Tata Nexon vs Maruti Grand Vitara Drag Race
This race comes from Charlie Vlogs on YouTube. The YouTuber has the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre version of the Grand Vitara and the 1.2-litre turbo petrol variant of the Nexon. For the first round, both parties switch off the AC. The Traction Control has been switched off in the Vitara but remains ON on the Nexon (by default). Both SUVs have two persons each. On the count of three, both SUVs launch. Due to the traction control, the Nexon lags behind in the beginning but quickly makes the ground to overtake the Vitara to win the first one.

A similar trajectory follows in the second round. However, the gap between the two is not too large. For the subsequent rounds, the team decides to switch on the AC in both cars. One could clearly see the Nexon struggle to get out of the gates due to the intervention by the traction control. But after that initial lag, the sudden burst of power from the turbo petrol engine ensures that it never stays too far behind. All in all, the performances of the two SUVs are quite comparable but the Nexon has a slight edge.
