In this area, the EcoSport has a distinct advantage over its rivals as it is the only car to offer a dual-clutch transmission option. The Nexon offers a 6-speed manual gearbox only (for now). Its petrol engine, a 1.2-litre RevoTron turbo petrol unit has a lower power output than both petrol engines of the EcoSport. However, its torque output matches that of the more powerful 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol’s output.

Specifications – The Nexon comes with a 1.2-litre RevoTron turbo petrol and 1.5-litre RevoTorq turbo diesel engine. The EcoSport comes with three engine options – two petrol and one diesel – which means more options for the buyers. Also, Ford offers a dual-clutch transmission on EcoSport Petrol, which the Nexon doesn’t. This is one significant advantage Ford has in this segment.
Mileage – The Nexon petrol offers a higher mileage than the 1.5 EcoSport petrol. However, its petrol engine is slightly less frugal than the EcoSport’s 1.0 EcoBoost turbo petrol engine.
