Car crashes have become common on our roads, particularly in the last few years
In this post, we are taking a look at the details of a crash between Tata Nexon and Maruti Ertiga. Nexon is one of the most popular vehicles in the country. It boasts a full 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP. Note that the model involved in this latest accident is an old trim which means that the Global NCAP rating will be valid. On the other hand, Maruti Ertiga is among the most successful MPVs in the country ever. Unfortunately, it only boasts a rather poor 1-star safety rating at the Global NCAP. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case here.
Tata Nexon and Maruti Ertiga Collision
The specifics of this case stem from Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. This channel features content around the performance of popular cars in unfortunate incidents. On this occasion, this incident showcases the Nexon and Ertiga after the impact. As per the information in the video, the host mentions that Nexon ended up hitting the Ertiga from the side. Perhaps the speed of the compact SUV was quite high which made it topple over. It landed on the side of the road.
Firstly, it must be mentioned that no one was seriously injured in this crash, which is quite impressive. Talking about the impact, we shouldn’t judge any of these cars based on an isolated incident. It is possible that the angle of collision made the Nexon turn. Still, the damage to both these cars is not too severe. That is a testament to the build quality. Also, real-life incidents showcase the true strength of any car. In the NCAP tests, the entire procedure takes place in a controlled environment.
My View
I must mention that we lose lakhs of lives each year in road accidents. Most of the undesirable instances happen due to the carelessness of the drivers and their refusal to follow traffic regulations. Even though the details of this case are scarce, it is possible that the Nexon driver wasn’t paying attention on the road which is why it hit the Ertiga from the side. Let us pledge to be responsible drivers and ensure that we follow all the traffic protocols vehemently. Also, we must encourage everyone around us to do the same, and report the miscreants to the authorities.
