Tata Nexon with some upgrades inside the cabin has been spied. We expect Tata to silently upgrade the C-SUV just around the festive season, next month.
Tata Nexon is soon set to get a facelift with some minor but important feature upgrades. It has been spied under camouflage but now we have some clear images. The changes are only inside the cabin.
Nexon will get cruise control as an important update and is likely to be seen on the top-spec XZ+ and XZA trims on diesel as well as petrol variants. Cruise control comes on many of other compact SUVs in its segment.
It will also get a revised steering wheel with some added switches. The same wheel is also seen on the upcoming Tata Altroz with setting for automatic headlamps. Other than these two features, there will be no upgrades.
The front portion on the Nexon facelift is not visible in these photos. The tail portion of the car also looks the same. Reports suggest that the front portion might be revised as per Tata’s IMPACT 2.0 design language.
What we could expect is the BS-6 compliant engines on this Tata Nexon Facelift. Tata has confirmed that it will discontinue the smaller diesel engines only, the 1.05 Liter diesel on the Tiago and Tigor.
The 1.5 Litre petrol and the 1.5 Litre diesel engine will remain the same. Nexon is one of the few SUVs to offer automatic on the diesel as well as petrol engines. It gets AMT gearbox on the top-spec XZ and XM variant.
Meanwhile, Tata has also confirmed that it will launch the electric version of Nexon in the next 18 months. It will be the second EV from Tata, after the Tigor EV. Even Tiago and Altroz will receive their EV versions soon.
Next year, we might also see the Tata Nexon in a JTP version. It will get the 1.2 Litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Tiago with higher power figures.
