Crash between two cars puts the safety ratings of the SUVs to test. This is an example of the build quality of the Tata Nexon and Kia Seltos.
The results of the crash between Tata Nexon and Kia Seltos are shocking, to say the least. Nikhil Rana keeps posting such videos on his YouTuber channel to raise awareness among Indian car buyers regarding the importance of safety in modern vehicles. He posts crashes of popular cars regularly. This time around there is a clash between a 5-star safety rated compact SUV (Nexon) and a 3-star safety mid-size SUV (Seltos) and the results are quite unexpected. Let us check out the video.

Nexon and Seltos Crash Results
The video shows the Seltos hitting the Nexon from behind. The reason for the accident is not known. However, by the looks of it, it seems that the SUVs were not travelling at high speeds. This is always a good sign because, in such unfortunate instances, the damage is minimal. The image below shows that the boot of the Tata Nexon has been deformed a little. The boot opening lock also seems to be broken. The impact has been extended to the rear bumper too. In comparison, the front end of the Seltos looks stable and intact. There are no signs of any collision on the Seltos, which is quite impressive. However, it could be due to the strong font grille area and the relatively weak spot for the Nexon as the boot lid is generally empty. Also, we don’t know if there is any internal damage to the Seltos. It has happened before as well that a Hyundai Creta looked fine from the outside, but there were internal damages.

It is important to mention that following traffic rules is the most important thing one could do while driving on the road. Unfortunately, Indian is home to one of the highest number of road accidents every year in which a ton of people lose their lives. Many of these accidents could have simply been avoided had the drivers followed the basic traffic rules. Also, the safety equipment is the key differentiator between the passengers surviving an accident with minor injuries and fatalities.
