Tata Motors is all set to launch an updated Tata Nexon. It is currently in the testing phase and test units have been spotted on Indian roads. As per recent reports, the refreshed Nexon will come with a new engine and DCT. It will also come with a host of exterior and interior tweaks. Additionally, the new version might come with a new name. In this article, let’s take a look at the upcoming Tata Nexon Facelift.

The updated Tata Nexon will be powered by a new 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that offers a maximum power output of 125 bhp and 225 Nm of torque. As per recent reports, the company is testing the Tata Nexon facelift prototypes with a new engine that is equipped with dual-clutch automatic transmission. It is said to replace the slower 6-speed AMT from the current model. Currently, the Tata Altroz automatic comes with the new 6-speed DCT.
The current version of the SUV offers a 6-speed manual transmission with a petrol engine. Along with this, the company also offers the Nexon with diesel powertrain options. The facelifted is likely to come with an optional 1.5-liter 110 bhp diesel engine. It is likely to be paired with the 6-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Additionally, the top-spec variants will come with ADAS features.

Design
While the new Tata Nexon will retain the coupe-inspired styling, it will come with higher ground clearance. The upcoming model is set to get heavy updates over the current version. It is said to borrow design elements from the Curvv concept. This includes triangular housings for the split LED headlamps, a revised trapezoidal grille, and a daytime running LED strip across the width of the car.

On the back, the 2023 Tata Nexon will sport sleeker tail lamps with new LED inserts. It is likely to be connected with a horizontal LED light bar. The company has also added a new design for the 16-inch alloys. On the inside, the Tata Nexon facelift will come with a revised cabin. It will get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (seen on updated Harrier and Safari) and a new TFT instrument console.
