A full-size truck rear-ended this Tata Nexon Facelift, taking huge damage but leaving a minor impact on the SUV.
Tata Nexon was the first car in India to get a 5-star safety rating. We have seen various examples of the SUV being involved in major accidents and always coming out with a brave front. Here is another accident where a truck hit the Nexon from the back. However, you will be shocked on seeing the impact.
This one year old Tata Nexon Facelift was on the highway roads when this full size truck came and hit on the right side from the back. You can see that the bumper of the truck has been damaged. From one side, the metal bumper has actually been twisted. On the other hand, Nexon has gotten a considerably smaller impact.

The rear side fender of the Nexon has received a dent and the metal has been ripped. Even if the damage is not repaired, the owner can still live with it. This is the strong build quality of the metal that is used on the Nexon. The owner anyways has claimed insurance and is getting his car fixed for free.
Many people might be wondering that many examples of Nexon have come up and most of the times, the accident is huge. The number of accidents on the Indian roads is huge but many cars have worse impact. Nexon has received a 5-star rating for the safety of adult occupants and 3-star rating for the child occupants.
The facelifted SUV was launched in the starting of the year with some cosmetic upgrades, BS6 compliant engines and a couple of new features. It now comes with automatic headlamps, cruise control, automatic rain sensing wipers and electric sunroof on the top-spec variant.

The prices of Nexon start off at Rs 6.95 Lakhs up to Rs 12.70 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It gets a 1.2 Litre turbo petrol engine that produces 120 PS and a 1.5 Litre diesel engine that is good for 110 PS. Both the engines get a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AMT as options.
