Tata Nexon has time and again proven to be a very safe car by keeping its occupants scratchless in some major crashes
The Tata Nexon is one car that refuses to let its occupants down even in the scariest of the accidents. Awarded a full 5-star rating by Global NCAP, this Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Venue rival has proven to be built like a tank. The incident we report today is no different from many others shared previously. Even in this case, the SUV has kept its passengers protected in an accident. However, what’s important to mention here is that the car was travelling at a very high speed when it lost control and hit a concrete electricity pole.

Accident in Mapusa, Goa
As per the video we have above, this accident took place recently in Mapusa, Goa. The Tata Nexon is said to have been travelling a pretty high speed when the driver lost control over the vehicle. The SUV then hit a concrete electricity pole at the side of the road. To make matters worse, a Honda Activa parked near the pole also got involved in the crash. Certainly, the impact took place at a pretty high speed. The solid pole got uprooted from the ground and the force was so high that it broke into two. Its bottom part crashed over the scooter parked besides it. The other part fell over the Tata Nexon.

The electricity pole fell over the roof of the Tata Nexon and even shattered its windscreen. The intensity with which the impact happened can be gauged from the damage to the vehicle’s front-end. The bumper has got completely damaged and so has the bonnet. But in spite of the heavy pole falling over the roof, probably, with a great force, all the pillars are totally intact. This has kept the occupants protected from any danger. All the passengers of the SUV came out of the damaged vehicle entirely devoid of injury. This incident goes on to highlight how this mass market car has time and again proven to be safer than some of the costlier models on sale in our market.

Tata Nexon 5-Star Safety Rating from Global NCAP
Not many know that the Tata Nexon scored a respectable 4-star rating in the first attempt at Global NCAP crash tests. However, not happy with the score, Tata made some changes to the vehicle and sent it once again to the testing bed. The carmaker offered full channel version of ABS along with seat belt reminder for both the front seats. This helped the SUV score a full 5-star rating, thereby becoming the first Indian car to do so.
