Social media can be a bit misleading sometimes as real-life incidents and fake news exist side-by-side.
The video of the accident between a Tata Nexon and an auto rickshaw is being called Scam 2023 by the netizens and there are a few reasons for that. Nexon is the first 5-star Made-in-India vehicle at the Global NCAP. It rose to prominence on the back of that accolade as people started becoming more safety-conscious in the last few years. In fact, in recent times, Nexon has consistently featured on the top 10 highest-selling cars list in our market. But what happens when it supposedly collides with an auto?

Tata Nexon and Auto Accident
The video has been uploaded by Nikhil Rana on his YouTube channel. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents as well as road safety. This time around, a case has emerged where a Tata Nexon is shown damaged from the front left side. The fender, side door panel, headlamp, bumper, etc. are seen destroyed in a crash. But there is an auto parked right next to the Nexon which looks normal (without any signs of a collision).
Some people have spread the news that this was an accident between these two where the auto didn’t sustain any damage. Now, that was a hard pill to swallow for anyone even remotely familiar with the build quality of a Nexon. Since this post was shared on a Tata Nexon Owners’ Club page on Facebook, people were quick to spot that this is fake in the sense that the accident did occur, but it was not with this auto. That is how this term, Scam 2023 was coined.

There is also a fire brigade truck in the background which makes the Nexon Owners sure that there was something big that transpired here and these images are only a distorted version of reality. In all honesty, even we can’t believe that this was a collision between the two vehicles shown in the images. It is good to know that you can’t fool people easily these days as they use their brains before consuming such news.
