In a high-speed crash, a Tata Nexon destroyed a divider railing and concrete block. However, it kept the two passengers safe.
Tata Motors has been at the forefront of raising safety standards in Indian cars. It is one of the few companies to have three vehicles with a 5-star safety rating. This includes the popular Tata Punch and Tata Nexon (touted to be one of the first safe cars by Tata). A major accident of the Tata Nexon put the safety ratings of the SUVs to test. The results of the crash are shocking, to say the least. Despite running into a divider at high speed, the car kept both passengers safe. In a new video, Nikhil Rana shared the details of the serious crash on his YouTuber channel to raise awareness about the importance of safety in modern vehicles. Let’s take a closer look.

As you can see in the video, the crash took place between a 5-star safety-rated compact SUV (Nexon) and a road divider. The White Tata Nexon ran into a divider railing and a concrete block. As a result, the car was seriously damaged on the outside. The front of the car is badly damaged, including the windshield. You can also see the impact on the roof. The high-speed crash also damaged the divider railing. The huge concrete block (with a steel pole) was completely out of the ground.
Usually, in such cases, we would be worried about anyone in the car. However, this time, the results were pleasantly unexpected. Both passengers escaped the accident with minor injuries. This is an example of the build quality of the Tata Nexon. While the impact has been extended on the front, the rear half and the cabin seem intact.

It is to be noted that the above-mentioned accident was caused by overspeeding. At a lower speed, the damage could have been minimal. While the safe Tata Nexon car gave the passengers a second chance, the vehicle was destroyed. While driving on the road, following traffic rules is the most important thing one could do, especially in a country like India. Over-speeding is a clear no-no on Indian roads, where anyone can jump at any time. Every year, thousands of people lose their lives in avoidable accidents. Fortunately, now you can also choose a safe car (with good build quality and safety equipment) to protect against the mistakes of others. Still, follow the traffic rules and report anyone driving recklessly to the authorities.
