Tata Nexon Safety Rating
This video clip shows an impact between a Tata Nexon and a bus on a highway in Indore. The details of the incident are not available but the CCTV footage shows that Nexon’s driver was driving in the wrong lane. This caused the vehicles to hit each other and the Nexon is seen toppling off the road. After turning a couple of times, it landed in a normal position and the people nearby are seen rushing to help the driver. It was reported that the driver escaped unhurt which is a testament to the build quality of the Nexon. Also, the airbags didn’t get deployed as there was no frontal impact. The damage to the SUV is visible but to come out of this unscathed is quite remarkable.
We urge our readers to follow traffic rules and never overspeed. It is the single most prominent reason for a majority of unfortunate incidents on roads. The Tata Nexon is offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine making 120 hp and 170 Nm and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel making 110 hp and 260 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. There are options of a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The prices of the Nexon range between Rs 7.42 lakh and Rs 13.73 lakh, ex-showroom. The Tata Nexon had secured a full 5-star safety rating at the GNCAP.
