Tata Motors rolled out 100,000 units of the Nexon from Rajangaon Facility and the compact SUV has been crowned as India’s safest car.
Even when the passenger vehicles sales are dipping, the Nexon from Tata has been a fruitful product for the brand as it crosses 100,000 production mark in less than 24 months.
Tata Motors have been selling around an average 4,000 units of the Nexon which have proved in crossing the 1 lakh production mark. Launched in September 2017, the Nexon has seen several special editions like Kraz edition, IPL edition and Aero edition.
Tata Nexon is a sub-4-metre compact SUV which rivals against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Ford Exosport, Mahindra XUV500 and the recently launched Hyundai Venue. It is also the second best selling SUV in the past one year.

Tata Nexon is available in two engine options, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor and the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The former churns out a total of 108 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque while the oil-burner makes the same amount of power that is 108 bhp and a healthy torque of 260 Nm. Both gets mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and an option of 6-speed AMT.
The Nexon is also the first manufactured car in India to receive Global NCAP 5-star ratings which is an added advantage to its sales in the given segment. Safety features onboard include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Speed Sensing Door Lock, Child seat anchor points, Rear parking sensors and more.
Tata Nexon is also equipped with features like steering-mounted controls, auto climate control, reverse parking camera with guidelines, rear AC vents, an 8-speaker Harman audio system, and a 6.5-inch infotainment screen with Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

Tata Nexon is available in a total of 14 colour options and the prices of the compact SUV starts at Rs 6.69 lakh for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 11.07 lakh for the top-end trim. All prices are in reference to the ex-showroom, Delhi.
