Tata Nano was the most affordable car in our market almost a decade ago while Mahindra Thar is the most popular lifestyle off-roader in our market at the moment.
This is an incredibly hilarious incident where a Tata Nano hits a Mahindra Thar and caused it to topple over. Nano, as you might remember, was the cheapest car in India, perhaps in the world which was supposed to be its USP. However, the tag of owning the cheapest car in India did not sit too well with potential car buyers which also led to its downfall. On the other hand, Mahindra Thar is a popular lifestyle off-roader that is ruling the market at the moment. That makes it interesting to see what happens when these two ‘meet’.

Tata Nano Hits Mahindra Thar
The video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. He keeps sharing real-life incidents involving popular cars and their performances in unfortunate situations. This incident has been reported from Chhattisgarh. As per the information in the video, Thar was approaching a junction at high speed. Nano was coming from the perpendicular direction and ended up hitting the Thar. Now, if a tall SUV is hit from the side, chances are that it will invariably topple over.

That is exactly what ended up happening. The SUV is seen lying on the road on its roof. As far as the damages are concerned, the left side of the SUV is not visible which has taken the impact. But on the right side, there are minute scratches. That is expected since Thar boasts a 4-star safety rating at the GNCAP. It has a rugged build quality. On the other hand, Nano has impressed everyone as well. There is a minor dent on the front section and nothing major anywhere else. Tata has been in the business of making strong cars and this is yet another example of that.

Road Safety
The video mentions that the driver of the Thar was at fault in this case. We must advise our readers to drive carefully and follow the traffic rules. Most accidents on the roads happen due to avoidable circumstances. Overspeeding is the major cause of unfortunate incidents which is why we must strive to control that at any cost. It is time we become responsible drivers and stick to traffic laws to ensure that our roads become safer than they are at the moment.
