Tata Motors has said that the prices of its passenger cars will increase starting from April 2018. This upsurge in prices comes as a result of an increase in input costs.
Starting April 2018, buyers will have to pay more for Tata passenger cars in India. The homegrown automaker will increase prices of its vehicles by up to INR 60,000. This price increase will vary from vehicle to vehicle. With this, Tata Motors has joined the bandwagon of other manufacturers which have so far announced a price hike.
The reason for this price hike is because of the rising inputs costs. That said, the automaker is yet to reveal its model wise price hike. As mentioned, the increase in prices will vary according to each vehicle. It is likely that the amount will go up as one goes up the range. This means that the Tata Hexa is likely to attract the maximum price hike.
