It seems more like a clearance sale with a huge discount. On the CX and LX Models of Tata Nano 2011, there is a retail bonus of Rs. 30,000. Thus a mx discount of Rs. 35000 overall which is huge for a small car which costs under Rs. 2 Lakhs. On the newer model, Tata Nano 2012 which contains many improvements, the discount on Standard model is Rs. 12,000 with exchange bonus of Rs. 5000 and Nano CX and LX 2012 come with discount of Rs. 15,000 along with exchange bonus of Rs. 5000 which is again applicable for both 2 and 4 wheelers. The lowers down payment for a Tata Nano is Rs. 15,000.
